Would you like to learn to use cameras like a pro?  Have you always wanted to get into photography but did not want to spend the $$$ to buy equipment you have no idea how to use? You are in luck!

The Library now offers 5 Canon DSLR cameras and 5 camcorders for checkout.  Cameras can be checked out by all OCCC Faculty, Staff and Students for up to 3 days at a time.  All cameras include everything you need to start using them as soon as you check them out, and we offer tripods as well.  To check out a camera, stop by the Circulation Desk and ask!

Laptops

Do you need access to a computer for your classes?  Don't want to spend an extra $800 on top of tuition, fees, and textbooks?  We have you covered!

The OCCC Library offers current students enrolled in for-credit classes the opportunity to checkout one of 100 Dell laptop computers. Laptops check out for up to 8 weeks so that students can use them for the duration of the current 8 week term.  Students in 16 week classes will have an opportunity to renew their laptop for the remainder of the semester.  Laptop availability is first come, first served.

Laptops become available on the first day of classes for each term, and are issued on a first come, first served basis.  Bring your OCCC ID to the Circulation Desk on the first floor of the library to check out a laptop.  Laptops must be picked up and returned at least 30 minutes before closing to allow Library staff time to process the equipment and paperwork.

***Concurrent students who are not 18 years old will need a parent or legal guardian with them to sign the contract.

Checkout Contracts

All students wishing to checkout Tech Lending equipment will need to read and sign a checkout contract that outlines all guidelines and responsibilities including replacement costs and overdue fees.  Contracts are filled out at the circulation desk at the time of checkout.  One copy will be given to the student for their records and one copy will be kept on file in the library.
